Lectors share in the privilege of proclaiming the Word of God at Sunday Masses and other liturgies. Lectors must be fully initiated and practicing Catholics and must be in good standing with the Church. They must also dress appropriately for their ministry and be comfortable speaking to a large numbers of people. Training is provided. All volunteers must compete Archdiocesan Safe Environment requirements.
